Workshop for IC Members I

We are back with our annual online workshop spread over two half days (December 07th and 08th) for IC members to understand the practical challenges and critical aspects of conducting inquiries under Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act especially in the hybrid workplace scenario.

The workshop this year will be preceded by a 5 hour session designed to provide a refresher on the key provisions of the Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act. This pre-work session will thus enable all participants to internalize the workshop inputs seamlessly.

This workshop is suitable for IC Members, Managers, Directors, Business Owners, HR-Heads and Legal professionals to obtain a deeper, understanding of the on the ground challenges when working with the POSH. The program will provide case driven inputs and insights in handling complaints and creating a culture of gender neutrality within the ambit of law and the new workplace scenario.

The timing of the workshop should also help you fulfil the terms of compliance and complete the annual return requirements due by the year end.

4. Basic ground rules for conducting inquiries (in person and virtual). Key challenges and practical solutions
5. Recording and taking statements of complainant and respondent
6. Need and process of cross examination
7. Admissibility of Evidence, Evaluating authenticity of evidence
8. Eliciting, recording, evaluating witness testimonies
9. Experiential learning via a “Mock Virtual Enquiry”
10. Analysis and deliberations and conclusions post inquiry
11. Arriving at Recommendations
12. Appeals and review of IC recommendations
13. Handling frivolous and malicious complaints
